When it rains . . . . It pours!

This past week has been eventful to say the least. Last Tuesday I took Kole to the Dr and he had a double ear infection and Bronchitus. This is his 2nd ear infection in one month and about 7 for the year so the plan is to take him to the pediatrician this week to see if his ears clear up and get a referral to an ENT for possible tubes. I hear they are miracle workers. I just want him to be healthy. Then he gets this horrible diaper rash that strong antibiotics can cause sometimes so he is screaming bloody murder and hates for his diaper to be changed. He has scabes on his bottom and I just feel so bad for the little buddy.

Then on Friday I start running fever and so does Kyler. Kyler is still playing like it is no big deal but I feel like I cannot even function. Saturday morning I go to the Dr and I have the flu. What?!? I have never had the flu but I guess that is what I get for not getting the flu shot. Kyler has ran a pretty consistant fever of 101 all weekend and continues to cough and look puffy eyed and sick today so we go to the Pediatrician for her today at 2:00. Thankfully, Mike has been healthy through this all and has been a trooper taking care of all of us sick people.

On top of all of this we have this wonderful (kidding) insurance that each of us have to reach $500 deductables so all of these illnesses are straight out of pocket b/c it is a new year. I have never been with an insurance that does an out of hospital deductable so this is all new to me and it really stinks.

So, hopefully one day we will be back in the world of the living.

Goodness, Ape!
I'm so sorry everyone has been sick. I had one ear infection a few years ago and I have newfound empathy. I'm so sorry Kole is having such pain. And, you and Kyler are in my prayers, too. I'm so sorry! I'll be thinking about you.
Love you!
