Give Thanks

"Give thanks to the Lord, for he is good; His love endures forever." Psalm 107:1

Yesterday Kyler and Kole had Thanksgiving feasts at school. Kyler's class dressed up like pilgrims and indians. They looked so cute. It was such a joy to get to spend lunch with them.

Kole said his first prayer at the dinner table last night and it brought joyous tears to my eyes. What is even better is that Kyler taught him to pray. There is no relationship like the relationship between siblings.

There are so many things I have to be thankful for. As a social worker I often see hungry, low-income people who aren't able to pay their bills or are not able to afford food. I take for granted that we are able to pay our bills and feed our children.

The Lord has blessed us tremendously! I am so thankful for a hard working, supportive husband who is a great father. I am thankful that we have two healthy children who bring a tremendous amount of joy to our lives. I am thankful that Mike and I both have jobs we enjoy and that bring our family financial security. I give thanks for a support system that is more than I could ever ask for. Between family, friends, and our church family I know we will never go without. I give thanks because God is good! We wish everyone a very Happy Thanksgiving.

That looks like fun! I'm so glad you had the chance to go. And the story about Kyler teaching Kole warmed my heart:).

Aren't those babies precious! I love seeing them sitting with their little friends...they look so big! Like you wrote, we so easily forget how much we have to be thankful for...my job often reminds me of that, too. We are excited to get to Lubbock...we are closing on Nov. 28th. We bought a house that is being built so we'll be living with the in-laws for about a month!! I think I packed my notebook with your e-mail address, but I'd love to touch base! Hope you have a great Thanksgiving!
