The last couple of days I have really been thinking about what good, loyal friends I have. I had 9 bridesmaids and 8 of them either called me, e-mailed me, or sent me something yesterday for my birthday. I know so many people lose touch with their college friends but my group of girls from college have done so good about keeping in touch with each other. Not only am I blessed with friends that I have had forever, but I am also blessed with my new friendships since we have been married. We are so blessed by the friends we have here in Lubbock and all the ways they bless our family.
After a great vacation I got to spend a few hours with one of my dearest friends and her new baby. It was so good to see Darla and meet Lawson (it was good to see Brylie and Matt too). No matter the miles or years some friends always remain close to your heart. Our older siblings went to college together and Darla and I first met at Encounter in high school and became even closer in college. I love the time we get to spend together, even though it is few and far between. In the past people have always thought Darla and I were sisters and a man at her wedding even thought we were twins and now we both have curly haired little girls and lovable little boys. God is good!

Happy Birthday, April! You certainly do have some precious friends! It's so great to see pictures of Darla and her sweet babies. I loved the pictures from your family vacation too. So many beautiful children to look at!
