Kellan had a great first week of Mother's Day Out. He loves his teachers, Mrs. Miranda and Miss Kendra. He had Mrs. Miranda when he was a baby so it is neat he gets to have her again. Kellan was most excited about carrying his Buzz Lightyear backpack. He is in love with Toy Story. I am so blessed by our Mother's Day Out and it is right next door to LCU, so it is perfect.

1st Day of School 2010

How do I have two kids in school? Kole started Kindergarten today and Kyler started 3rd. I love the excitement of the first day of school. I don't like the nerves though :). Kyler has a stomach like mine and with anything new she gets a tummy ache and gets nervous. Kyler was a little tearful but was better once she saw her friends. Kole didn't even seem phased that it was his first day of school. He went into the room and put his backpack in his locker and sat at his desk. Man, that boy always surprises me. I am glad that part is over and I pray they are blessed with Godly teachers this school year and that my kids are a light to all the other children they come into contact with. Kellan was happy he got to come home with me and now he gets to experience life as an "only" child :)!!

Kyler's 8th Birthday

Kyler had a great 8th birthday! She loves skating so this year she decided to have a skating party. Summer birthdays are hard so she was glad to see all of her friends. How do I have an eight year old?!? It seem unfathanable. Kyler is so much fun! She loves sports, shopping, girl time, and playing outside. She is such a blessing to our lives. It was also neat to see Kole and Kellan skate for the first time :)!!

Kellan's 3rd Birthday

I say it every year, but how is my baby 3 already ?!? Kellan had a great birthday. He is obsessed with Buzz Lightyear and all he cared about was his cake this year. He got tons of Buzz toys too, which he loves! We got him a 3D Buzz slip n slide and he has enjoyed playing on that.

Slow Down Summer

Man, summer has already been so busy, but lots of fun! The kids and I just got back from a trip to Dallas with some of my college girlfriends. It was so much fun! I am so blessed with all the friendships I have from college. I love these girls!!!

Weekend at the Guffey's House

Trey was so sweet and came up with a way to invite us and the Bradleys to surprise Julie for her birthday. Unfortunately it is a little hard to keep a surprise from a woman, especially when she wants her new house to be clean :)!! So, it wasn't a surprise, but it was a great weekend. The Guffeys were the hostess with the mostess. We had such a good time and Julie and Denise are such dear friends that I don't get to see near enough. Our kids are ages 7,6,5 (3 of them that were born in the same month),4, and 2, so they had lots of fun too! It was a great way to start off the summer :)!!

Man, I have gotten so bad at blogging. I don't know where I use to find the time :)!! We have been so busy with gymnastics, soccer, t-ball, and school. LCU is out, Kellan will be out in a week, and Kyler and Kole will be out in about three weeks. Where did this year go? We registered Kole for Kindergarten on Wednesday. It seemed unreal. How do I have two of my three kids in school already? Although Kole is in pre-k this year, I usually only take him 3x a week. Next year I won't have that option. He is really excited to be going to "Kyler's school". At registration he told Kyler they could walk in together and they were both so proud. It is such a blessing watching my children love each other.

T-ball has begun and we are having lots of fun!! Kole has been so much fun to watchl. Last weekend he got the game ball because he hit the first time everytime and had no outs. On Tuesday he got his first home run and he played catcher. He played 2nd base today. He is getting great experience and he seems to really enjoy it. It is so funny to watch them all. It is a joy watching Kole have fun!!

In a little over 24 hours Mike and I will be headed to Riviera Maya for our 10 year anniversary. We are so, so excited and it will be so good for us to get away for a week together. God has blessed us so much over the last 10 years. We have made so many memories . . . 3 kids, ups, downs, homes, jobs, school . . . but through it all one thing has remained the same, we have always had each other. I have always heard people say they love their mate more now than the day they married them. I don't think I ever quite knew what they meant until this year. Mike and I have had a great growth in our 10th year of marriage and I thank God with how much closer He has brought us. I hope it doesn't take me a year to post pictures from our trip once we are back. Hopefully we will come back darker, more rested, and more in love than ever. I love you Mike!

Catch Up Time

We wanted to get away for just a few days for Spring Break, so we went to Abilene. We stayed a couple of nights at a hotel so the kids could swim and went to the zoo. It was a great trip and a nice break!!

Gymnastics season is in full swing and Kyler continues to love it. We have so much fun watching her and seeing her grow as a gymnast.

Mike gave me an early 10 year anniversary present. A new ring! I love it. I will still wear my original wedding ring, but it is gold, so I like that I will have 2 options. I was so surprised!! I cannot wait for May. The week of our 10 year anniversary, May 13, we are going to Excellence Riviera Resort and Spa for a week. It is less than 2 months away! Not that I am counting :)!!

The Greatest Valentine

Mike really surprised me for Valentine's. On Saturday I got a card from Mike when I got the mail. It said to be ready at 4:00 and to dress warm for a Valentine's date. When I got in Mike's car to go, he had beautiful roses and lillies waiting for me. Then he took me on a picnic and had ordered bean and cheese nachos for me (I know it is weird, it is my favorite food). He had also gotten me a Sonic coke. It was so sweet!

When I got back to the car after the picnic there was a gift sac waiting for me with a sweet card and all my favorite candies.

Mike then took me to get a massage. It was so nice and relaxing.

We ended the night by seeing Valentine's Day. It was cute, but the best part was just sitting there in silence with my Valentine :). Happy Valnetine's Day.

Soccer, Dyson, and Gymnastics Oh My!!

Note to self: Just because you played soccer as a child for a really long time does not mean you should attempt to play soccer as an adult. It is very scary and you will not be able to get out of bed for at least two

days!!

I am loving my new Dyson. It makes cleaning so much more fun and I don't think I will ever sweep again. I hate sweeping and this gets up stuff so much better. I am in heaven!

Gymnastics season has begun! Kyler had her 1st meet in Muleshoe today and had lots of fun!!

Santa Came with the Snow

This is the first year that all three of the kids got really into Santa. It was such a fun morning and the 4 inches of snow we got during the night made it feel even more like Christmas. The kids sat on the stairs and ate snow.

We spent our Christmas Eve going to eat with Santa, we looked at lights, we left food in the front yard for the reindeer, and we read Twas the Night Before Christmas. The kids also left milk and cookies for Santa.

We went to Santa Land again this year and all of the kids had so much fun. Kellan and Kole's favorite was of course Cars and Kyler loved the entertainment, which was little girls singing.

Kole's class took toys for Toys for Tots up to the mall. Kole thought it was so neat.Kellan had his Christmas party at MDO and they had pajama day. He loves MDO and we are so blessed with his teachers. Unfortunately my camera brock right before Kyler's party so I have no pictures of her. It was a busy day. All three parties were at the same time.

Kozy

I have done like 4 post today so make sure and keep on reading after this post. Here is our new family member. Her name is Kozy. Jill got the kids an early Christmas present. She is a Malshi and she is perfect. She is less than 2 lbs and at the most she will get to 5 lbs. Mike and I love her so much that Jill asked if she got it for us or the kids :). We let them play with her every once in a while. Mike and the kids have wanted a dog for years. I can't believe I finally gave in. The only way I would let it happen is if it was a small dog that wouldn't tear up everything. It has been so much fun adding her to our family.

The Boys Thanksgiving Parties

The boys both had their thanksgiving parties at school. They were so excited. Kole was an indian and Kellan was a pilgrim - perfect. We went to Dallas for Thanksgiving so my husband could watch the Cowbooys and Tech all in 72 hours. It was heaven to him :). Plus, the kids got to swim at the hotel, which they loved.

Big Boy Kellan

Once again, poor youngest children. I should do better since I am the youngest, but it is not happening. Kellan is such a joy. He has been potty trained since September and I have yet to get any "potty" pictures. It was so nice. He trained himself by watching his brother and sister. I didn't have to do a thing, which is exactly what I needed out of a 3rd child. It took me until the first of November to finally get rid of Kellan's crib and put him into a big boy bed. I just couldn't bring myself to do it. It felt so weird taking apart the crib. It seems like a lifetime ago when we put it together 7 1/2 years ago and we haven't taken it apart except to move it. It lasted through all three kids and now they are all in "normal" beds. It seems so weird. Kellan did great with the transition and hasn't even known the difference. Once again, a huge blessing. We have so much fun together and he is such a momma's boy. He talks 90 to nothing and sometimes I forget I am talking to a two year old and not an adult. I am treasuring this time with my last child. It is going too fast. God has shown me over and over again why I needed a boy as #3. Kellan is perfect for our family.

Grandparent's Day in November - oops

Lubbock Christian had Grandparent's Day back at the first of November. Kole did a program and sang so good. He was so excited that all his grandparents got to come and watch his program and eat lunch with him. Kole has blossomed so much this semester. He is starting to read and it is amazing what a blessing pre-k has been for our precious boy.

So Far Behind on Fall Festivities

This new blog set up is really bugging me, so I haven't posted forever because I don't have enough time to deal with it. If it is easier than I am making it, please let me know.

We are so, so busy already and we are just in the 1st month of the school year. At least one of us has been sick for about 3 weeks now. I think this week we are finally feeling better. I think it is going to be a long winter, but I am ready for it to stay cold.

On Fridays at Kole's school the superintendant brings his horse, Fancy. The boys love it! It is a great way to start off a Friday by feeding this sweet horse.

At Kole's school they had a teddy bear picnic and the kids had so much fun!!

Kole had a great transformer birthday. He got tons of new transformers and has really enjoyed being 5!!

A couple of weeks ago granna was here and her and Jill took the kids to the pumpkin patch while Mike and I went to a Parenting and Marriage seminar. It was a good weekend for all of us :)!!

Kole is 5!!!

Kole is my first child to have a birthday during the school year so today we tried to do as much as we could with Kole being in school.

The whole fam went and got donuts this morning before school. The whole school sang Happy Birthday to Kole at chapel this morning. He thought is was so neat. Mike took Kole Burger King for lunch and ate in the cafeteria with Kole.

I took Kole's favorite cookies (M&M) to school at the end of the day and his class sang Happy Birthday to him.

Kole's request for supper was breakfast burritos so that is what we had. Mike then took Kole to the $1 store to spend the $5 Granna sent him. I cannot believe Kole is 5. Time has flown. We are so blessed by this guy :)!!

Kellan's 1st day of MDO

My poor third child, he started MDO last week and I am just now posting pictures. He is doing great and has great teachers. He is a little confused why Kole isn't there this year and is so excited to see him at the end of the day. We are still having so much fun on T, Th, and Fri hanging out just the two of us. My baby is getting so big!!!

Kole's 1st Day of Pre-K

Kole had such a great day! It was such a joy to see. First, he went to bed so good last night without any arguing. I thought that would be rough since we have been staying up so late all summer, but he did great! He was nice a rested this morning and was in a great mood. When we first got to school the principal said hello to Kole by name and gave him a high five so that made Kole's morning. He then walked into his classroom like he had been doing this for years. He knows 3 kids in his class from Mother's Day Out last year so that was so nice. There are also two teachers I work with who have kids in his class. I hope the rest of the week goes well and I am so proud of him.

Kyler had a great 7th birthday. We had a family birthday the weekend before and then she had her good friend McKenna spend the night with her on her birthday. I cannot believe I have a 7 year old. Time has flown. I can't believe that she will be in second grade in two weeks. How do I explain what a joy it is to have Kyler as a daughter? She is girly and sporty all in one. She is such a perfect mix and the perfect daughter for me. She loves painting her fingernails and doing her hair and she loves gymastics and soccer. She has such a kind heart. She is and always has been very obedient, which is a parent's dream. She is a little hyper like her mommy and loves sleep like her mommy, but we won't hold that against her :). She loves school and loves life. She enjoys everything she does!! It is so much fun seeing her matrure and grow. I love having a daughter and Kyler makes mothering so easy :)!!

How in the world is my last child 2? He is supposed to be my "baby" forever and he's acting more like a big boy everyday. Oh, how we love this boy! His dimples light up the room. He was meant to be a third child. He is usually up for whatever and goes with the flow. He talks to me like he's a 5 year old, it's hilarious! I think he is around his brother and sister too much :)!! God has blessed us so much by completing our family with Kellan. Two years ago today our family was made complete and we have rejoiced ever since at the presence of our sweet Kellan.

Happy Birthday Sweet Boy!!!

Kellan's favorite meal happens to be breakfast food but we pulled it off for dinner. His birthday dinner consisted of waffles, bacon, and orange juice. I put two candles in his waffle and he knew just what to do.

We had to end the day with Popsicles since we aren't having birthday cake until tomorrow when family comes to town :)!!

One day my kids are going to be super embarrassed of this picture but after a busy day outside we had to take a bath. I wasn't quite aware of how much sun we had gotten this summer!

Darla and the kids came for the day yesterday and spent the night. We had so much fun!! We too the kids to see G-Force and then made a picnic for the kids for dinner. Mike was nice enough to watch all the kids so Darla and I could go to dinner alone. What a nice treat!! Darla and I have so many great memories together, it is so neat to watch our kids make their own memories. As I was listening to Brylie and Kyler giggling last night and staying up until 1 am it made me think of the many nights Darla and I stayed up until 1 am giggling in college :)!!

DiSnEy WoRlD!!!

We had such a good week at Disney World. It was so much fun seeing it through Kyler and Kole's eyes! They had a blast and Mike and I felt like kids too. The only thing that was missing was Kellan but I know he will enjoy it more when he is older. Kyler and Kole were the perfect ages. This is a long post, but when you take over 300 pictures it is hard to narrow down the "best" out of the best. We also went to a waterpark one day that was really fun, but I didn't take my camera. The kids had tons of fun there too. So, here is 7 days wrapped up in a blog post :)!!

MAGIC KINGDOM: It really is magical. The kids could have stayed there everyday. Their favorite rides were It's A Small World, Aladdin's Carpet Ride, and Pirates of the Caribbean. We rode each of those three times. This was the first and last place we went.

AUTOGRAPHS: Getting the character's autographs was one of the kids favorite things to do. These are some of their favorites:

HOLLYWOOD STUDIOS: The Toy Story ride was the kids favorite. We all enjoyed the Beauty and the Beast show and Fantasmic. Kole loved that he got to see Matter and Lightening McQueen. It was so neat!

DOWNTOWN DISNEY: So much fun! Downtown has the coolest Lego things I have ever seen. There was even a dragon in the water made out of legos. They also had the neatest stores. A little overwhelming there is so much cool stuff :)!!!

EPCOT: The best thing about EPCOT was the princess breakfast. We (Kyler) got to eat breakfast with 5 different princesses. She loved it! She could barely focus on her food, it was such a neat experience. The kids also loved the Nemo ride and Crush show.

PARADES: There is nothing like the parades at Disney. There is a day, dancing, and night parade. All of them were so much fun!

ANIMAL KINGDOM: Animal Kingdom was probably our least favorite, but still fun. We got to see lots of animals and the 3D Bugs Life show is really neat.

Kyler's Gymnastics Nationals 2009!

We had a great time in Amarillo! Kyler enjoyed being around her teammates so much and Mike and I enjoyed getting to know the gymnastics families a lot better. Kyler did a great job! She got 6th on double mini and 10th on trampoline. There were 9 states there so we are pretty proud :)!! Now, time to rest for a little while. 14 days until Disney World . . . .

Charlotte and Tim made me the best birthday lunch and got me a cake. It was great to see them and it was so sweet of them to think of me on my birthday :)!!

I got to see Ambi and meet Miss Gracelynn. She was so precious!

Blog Slacker

We have been so busy around here. I have been horrible about blogging. We won't come up for air until mid July, but we have a lot of fun things planned this summer. Kyler keeps us busy with all of her events, but we wouldn't miss it. Life is good and we are blessed.

KYLER:

Kyler has been busy as usual. The last month of school she had a parent picnic, field day, and an awards ceremony. Last Friday we had the end of season soccer party at our house, then all the parents went home and all the soccer team had a slumber party here. We made shirts and hair twisties, played dress up, and stayed up way too late. We had lots of fun! We head to Abilene this weekend for a soccer tournament. The kids are excited to stay at a hotel. It will be good to get away.

KOLE:

Kole finished up his soccer season with a party at CiCi's pizza. He had lots of fun. We asked him what his favorite thing about soccer was and he said the snacks after the games and the trophy. This year at least got him used to the idea and maybe next year he will touch the ball :)!!

KELLAN:

Kellan is now 22 months. I really can't believe how fast time has gone. This is absolutely my favorite age. It has been with all my kids. He is learning so many new things. I am guessing it is because he is the youngest but he is really learning things quickly listening to his big brother and sister. He is learning his colors in English and Spanish. He is counting and saying tons of words. He is still my "momma's boy" and I love it. He still says "hold you" on an hourly basis. He is so much fun! We will be breaking the passy soon and possibly potty training after all of our traveling this summer. He's been wanting to potty for the last 6 months, but I wasn't ready until summer to be serious about it :)!!

I have had a great Mother's Day thanks to these three kids (and their dad who is cleaning right now)! I also got to spend it with my own mom and she made it extra special.

Kole and Kellan had their Spring program for Bright Horizon's Mother's Day Out on Friday. The boys love going to MDO and it was such a cute program. We are so blessed by their teachers and the directors :)!!

The Bumblebees had three games this weekend and they won all of them. They are so fun to watch. Way to go Bumblebees!!!!

Granna got in town in time on Friday to pick up Kyler from school and they went and got ice cream. Kyler had so much fun!

Easter 2009

We had such a blessed Easter weekend. It was cold, but blessed. The kids got to participate in a couple of egg hunts, one that the eggs were delivered by helicopter :)!! We really just tried to spend a lot of time with our family this Easter. Our kids still are not really old enough to completely understand Jesus' death and resurrection but we tried to talk about it a lot more this year. We had a great day of worship and enjoying the life God gave us and the family He blessed us with.

Disney World, Here We Come!!!

We are so excited! I booked our hotel, tickets, and flight last night for Disney World. We are going in July! Kyler and Kole (and mom and dad too) are so excited! Kellan will be staying in Houston with Amy and her family and we will take him when he is older. We just didn't want to pass up Kyler and Kole being such perfect ages. By the way, Disney is having great deals right now. Sometimes it helps with vacations when the economy is doing bad :)!!!

Blue Thunder

Kole had his first soccer game on Saturday. His team is Blue Thunder. They were so cute! I don't think Kole touched the ball the whole game but he sure chased after everybody. Most of the boys cried or didn't want to play and Kole did so good, he didn't even cry, which is a very big deal for Kole. We are so proud of him!

19 things about Kellan at 19 months

It sort of makes me sad that Kellan is closer to 2 than 1 now. How is time going so fast? I am horrible at taking pictures and documenting things (poor third child) so I thought I would post 19 things about Kellan:

1. He loves being outside and never wants to come in.

2. He loves naps and usually sleeps around 4 hours, so nice!

3. He calls Kyler "Kyker" and loves saying Kole, which he says perfectly.

4. When we say "What do you say?" he says "Peeese" and signs more. I think he thinks that sign means please I guess.

5. When you say cheese he smiles from ear to ear, it's priceless.

6. His favorite food is pinto beans (sort of gross I know).

7. He loves his blanky.

8. He already wants to go potty, but I am not ready.

9. He screams when he sees someone with a Sonic drink. The red straw just really makes him want a drink :)!! I don't know who taught him to love Sonic ?!?

10. He loves books (Yes Celeste, I read to this one :))

11. He loves Elmo right now, just like my other 2 did at this age. He loves saying "Elmo".

12. He loves baths. Anytime he hears the water running he thinks it is for him.

13. He loves praying and raises his hands and says "Amen" at the end. I know, I have to work on the hand part. He doesn't know yet that Church of Christ don't do that :)!!

14. He loves to ride the wiggle racer. I am not sure how he does it being so little but he does good.

15. He has beautiful long eye lashes.

16. He loves to cuddle, which is fine with me. I want to soak up my last.

17. He is a momma's boy. I am sure that will change soon since my other 2 would rather be with dad.

18. He loves to count and loves the number 6. It is really odd for this age.

19. He is such a joy and is the perfect 3rd child. He has always been pretty laid back which is nice when having to get 2 others places.

At 19 months he is in the 10% for weight and 90% for height. He's going to be tall like his granna!

I have been horrible about blogging. I swore I would never spend more time on FB than I did blogging, but that time has come. Many more of my friends are on FB than are blogging anymore, but I still plan on keeping this up.

In other mother bragging news . . . Kyler got Student of the Month at school. She is such a joy to watch grow up and we are so proud of her. She has a kind heart and I hope it continues to grow in God's likeness.

It is about to get really busy. Kole started soccer and Kyler is still doing soccer and gymnastics, so that pretty much covers every night of the week. We have 5 soccer practices and 2 gymnastics practices this coming week and it is Spring Break. I wonder what a non break will look like :)?!? Having three kids is definitely never boring . . . We are so blessed.

Reunion Weekend

This past weekend I got together with a lot of my college friends. We try to get together at least once a year and it is always so much fun! We usually just do a girls weekend but this year we allowed our husbands to come :)!! All of our husbands aren't around each other that much and they got along a little bit too good, they were a riot. It was such a great weekend reminiscing and enjoying time with some of my dearest friends.

We always have to eat lunch at 50th Street Caboose, our old college favorite: Darla, Me, Jonelle, Carrie, and Charlotte.

All Kole wanted for Christmas was a sled. We tried to explain to him that we don't live in a place where people go sledding. He still insisted and since it was his second year in a row to ask for a sled Santa obliged. It has been cold here this week so the kids took advantage and had some fun sled time. Notice how flat things are :). Sledding with no hills is not quite as fun, but the ice was fun to sled on.

We ended up getting to close on the house yesterday. Hallelujah! What a relief that is. They delivered our furniture today, but they still need to clean the house some so we will move gradually through the weekend and a lot the first part of next week. We are off to Midland for X-mas so Santa can come to granna's house since we don't have a tree this year :)!! Since I finally found my camera here are the kids X-mas party pictures.

Kyler's first grade Christmas party was a lot of fun. She is getting so big I don't get to come around as often anymore. It was good to get to talk to some other moms and be in her classroom. She is having a great year and we are so blessed that she loves school!

OK, I have no clue what I have done with my camera so this will be a boring post with no pictures. I am sure it got put in a box somewhere. Well, the plan was to close on the house tomorrow but our well is frozen because it has not gotten above 32 all day here. That being said, they can't "test" our water, which is required for closing, so they are trying to get us into the title company on Wednesday. Yes, X-mas eve! Who knows if everything will come together?!? I am sure praying though. This is crazy!!! I never dreamed this would be the problem with closing. I encourage you to not finish your house in the winter because the cold weather has caused quite a few obstacles. For example, who knew paint doesn't do well unless it is 50 degrees or warmer? Tough thing to come by in December. All things aside, we are very blessed this holiday season. Our family is healthy and we are blessed with three wonderful children that I love to watch this time of year. We wish everyone a Very Merry Christmas! No, we did not do X-mas cards this year. The plan is a New Year's card :)!! We will have to see . . . .

Polar Express

We went on the Polar Express last night and it was so neat! It was an hour train ride to the "North Pole". They read the Polar Express at the beginning of the ride and then passed out the cookies and hot chocolate. The conductor punched the kids tickets just like the movie, so clever! Then Santa and his elves rode back with us after we stopped at the "North Pole". It was such a great memory to make with our kids.

Thanksgiving Recap

We had a great, relaxing Thanksgiving in Midland. I took my camera, but left the battery on the charger at home. Needless to say I didn't get any pictures of all the fun, but Mike's uncle sent us the picture below of Mike, me, and Kyler on Thanksgiving day. Here are the highlights of our Thanksgiving:

Spent time with both sides of the family on Thanksgiving day.
At Wal-Mart from 2-6 am on black Friday so my husband could get a 50" TV. That was quite a bonding experience :)!!
Ate at our favorite Mexican food restaurant with great friends.
Saw 4 Christmases. It was so funny Mike and I were crying.
Slept, slept, and slept while grandparents spoiled my kids.
Watched the OU game at Mike's uncle's house and saw cousins we hadn't seen in a long time.
Went to the Children's Museum to see the X-mas trees, trains, and for the kids to play.

We are blessed and so thankful. For the last week Kyler has walked around asking people what they are thankful for and it has been a great reminder. The kids are so cute, they always say one of their siblings names. I am thankful for my marriage, family, and the health of all of my family and friends. God continues to amaze us every year with the blessings He gives us.

Man, I have been horrible about posting progress pictures on the house, so at this point I am just going to wait until we are done, which is hopefully a month away. We locked in on our interest rate today which I am very grateful for because this whole economy thing makes me a little nervous. It can jump from 6 to 7% in like 24 hours so I am glad we got a good one. They finished the stone on the fire place and are working on finishing up painting. Hopefully after Thanksgiving they will work quickly on the floors and the other finish up things and Lord willing we will be moving in the week of Christmas. Stressful, yes, but I really want to close this year so hopefully that is what happens. Mike asked me what I wanted for Christmas and I said I think the house is plenty :)!!!

How is my baby girl old enough to go to a slumber party? Where did the time go? Kyler had so much fun at her first slumber party this weekend. They had pizza, did pedicures and manicures, watched a movie, put on make up, and her friend's dad graciously agreed for them to paint his toe nails. When we picked her up she said she stayed up until midnight, not 12, midnight. I am not real sure where she heard that. We are so glad that Kyler is blessed with good friends with good families. I am glad this was a good first experience for her. I am sure there are many more to come.

I cannot believe it has been 4 years since Kole was born. Time has flown! He no longer has any of his baby face left and he now looks like a big boy. No words can describe our Kole. There is definitely no hiding how he feels, it is written all over his face. This can be humorous and embarrassing at times, but he keeps us on our feet. I have never seen a child with such an imagination. You can give him a box and three pieces of paper and he will make a ship with plenty of people on board. He loves tools, especially "dolts" (which would be bolts). He loves his little brother and is literally on him every chance he gets. Kole's dimples could light up a room. He still needs his mommy to hold him, which I love. The boy could have a turkey and cheese sandwich at every meal. It is hilarious! He hates vegetables, but loves bananas, and could drink a gallon of "regular" milk a day, so hopefully it will all even out. Happy 4th birthday my sweet son. We love you and are so happy God gave us you as a second child.

Kole got to have a fun lunch at Chuck E Cheese yesterday. This morning we got Krispy Kremes for his birthday breakfast and he hasn't decided what we are doing for dinner. We are just enjoying Kole turning 4 today. We are blessed!

San Antonio

We made a quick trip to San Antonio this weekend for Mike's cousin's wedding. The wedding was beautiful and we got to catch up with all our Midland friends. It was a nice, quick, get away and great to catch up with everyone.

First Day of MDO

Today was Kole and Kellan's first day of Mother's Day Out. We are trying to get back in the schedule of things, but we got really used to not being on a schedule in the summer. We are so blessed that the boys can go to Mother's Day Out while I teach.

Our First Grader

How is it possible that we have a first grader?!? Time has gone so fast. Kyler was a little nervous to start out the day so we had to start out with some of her favorite cinnamon rolls for breakfast and she was ready to go. She had a wonderful day and was smiling from ear to ear when I picked her up. When she got in the car Kole said "We missed you today Kyler." It was so sweet. I prayed all day that Kyler was having a good day and I am so relieved to know that prayer was answered. She is so excited to go back tomorrow. Here is Kyler in her new apple outfit (thanks Kendy!) for her first day of school.

When Kyler got to school she found out she gets to have a locker. She was super excited. She was so brave, she gave us hugs and said bye mommy and daddy. I was so glad that she did so well.

Aunt Jill took us to Shoguns for our first day of school dinner. It was yummy! Kyler was a little freaked out by the fire but the kids devoured their food :)!!

You can't end the first day of school without some Baskin Robbins ice cream. Kyler got some play dough, it was crazy bright colored ice cream, perfect for a first grader.

Last week of summer

The kids have been playing so good together the last couple of weeks. Kyler and Kole love playing in the pack n play. It is hilarious! They will spend hours playing house and they like Kellan to join in and be their baby. I cannot believe this is the last week of summer. My little girl will be a 1st grader come Monday and we are in full swing. We have had a fun summer and are going to enjoy ourselves playing this last week.

Kyler's 6th Birthday Party

Kyler had a great 6th birthday party! It was a soccer themed party with great scenery. The kids played musical chairs and limbo. They had fun breaking the pinata and making jewelry. Kyler was blessed with great friends to share this day with her. We are so thankful that Kyler is blessed with the good people in her life. It was such a memorable day.

Man, today has been tough on me for some reason. I cannot believe my baby girl is 6. The years have flown by. It is so much fun and such an honor to have a girl. I love it! These are some things I want to remember about Kyler at 6:

She is a great big sister. She always thinks about her brothers and wants to get them things when they aren't with her. She is so helpful and will run and get me diapers or shoes for the boys.
She has a really gentle heart. In Kindergarten she would purposely play with the kids that didn't have a lot of friends and that acted out in class. Her Kindergarten teacher told me that Kyler helps the "hard" kids be better in class, and is such a good example. What a great thing to hear as a mom.
Kyler is a little loud at times (I don't know where she gets this from :)) but she is quite humorous. She is such a priss and boss. It keep me laughing to see a little me walking around, just sweeter!
Kyler is such a hard worker. She is so eager to learn at school and sports and gives 100% in all she does. That is such a great quality.
Kyler loves to play outside, but also loves to get her nails done. She is a great mixture and so fun to be around.

I love you Kyler Faith Carrasco. Happy 6th Birthday!

Kyler has been at Music Camp at church all week and on Friday they had their performance. It was so fun to watch all the kids singing and having fun! Kyler did great!

Tucker Watkins got here on Friday. It was so good to hold a newborn again. Kyler couldn't stand seeing him in pictures, so she went and saw him at home today and got to hold him. He is precious!

Last but not least, the house is coming along nicely. The plan is to still be in by December. We have had a few rain delays but other than that it is going pretty smooth. We should have stairs this week and more of the roof so we can finally go upstairs. It is fun to watch things unfold.

Happy Birthday Kellan Blake !

I cannot believe my baby turns 1 today. Words cannot explain how much I love this little boy. He has been such a joy! He is such an easy baby and we are so blessed that God gave him to us. Here are some things I want to remember at Kellan's 1st birthday:

Kellan loves to eat. He will eat just about anything you give him, but his favorite food is lasagna and Mandarin oranges.
Kellan isn't walking yet, but it won't be long. He is scooting along quickly with all his push toys.
Kellan has 6 teeth, but is working on about 4 more.
Kellan has two big dimples that steal my heart and many other hearts :)!
Kellan loves class at church and Mother's Day Out. He hasn't had any stranger anxiety up to this point and that has been a big blessing when leaving him.
Kellan loves to give kisses. You say give me a kiss and he leans over and pecks you on the lips, sometimes even open mouthed, but it is precious.
Kellan says mama the most, which is music to my ears since my other two loved to say dada at this point. Kellan also says bye bye, dada, and more the most. He has even said Kyler and Kole, but not too often.
When he sees an outlet or something he is not supposed to mess with he shakes his finger at it like we do when we say no, no!
Kellan loves his brother and sister and gets so excited when he sees them.
Kellan loves music and he starts jumping up and down and shaking his hand like he's leading singing when he hears his favorite songs.

Today we had a family birthday party for Kellan since my sister, from Houston, and her family were in town. We had a great time. We got a little cake for Kellan and he decided to eat the whole thing. It was hilarious! My other kids didn't have much to do with their birthday cakes at 1 because they didn't know what was going on. Once Kellan tasted it he couldn't stop. He got lots of fun toys and had a great day. I will post more about my one year old on his official birthday on Wednesday.

While Amy and her fam were in town they stayed at a hotel (since we are a little short of rooms around here). The kids enjoyed a couple of nights of swimming with their cousins at the hotel. They couldn't understand why they couldn't spend the night at the hotel.

Kellan has officially been bottle and formula free for 24 hours. I would love to know how much we have spent on formula over the last 5 years, with 3 children. OK, I don't think I really want to know. I know it is a whole lot. Kellan has been our first child who could take powder formula. With Kyler and Kole we had to use ready made so that was well over $40 a week. We should have stock in Similac :). Kellan has done so good with his sippy cup and whole milk. He officially took his last bottle a week before his first birthday. Good job big boy! It is bittersweet. No bottle means no baby anymore. I will post more on Kellan's first birthday later. In the mean time, I will go enjoy the extra money we aren't spending on formula and baby food :)!!

What to do with myself . . .

Tonight Mike and I met my mom half way and left Kyler and Kole with her. My mom and Mike's parents are going to keep Kyler and Kole for the next week while Kellan hangs out at home with me. We are so blessed to have grandparents that love our children and want to spend time with them and spoil them. I love to see my children excited about going to see their grandparents, but what is it about saying good bye to your child?!? It has never been easy for me. It is like I have three hearts walking outside my body. I had always heard that before having children, but it is so true. I am such a big worrier and I hate that because I know to worry is to not have faith in God. I pray for safety for my children as we are apart and peace for me to allow them to spread their wings as they get older. Usually it is the parent comforting the child, but as we left Kyler tonight she said don't worry momma Midland isn't too far away. I asked if she would call me everyday and she said she is going to be pretty busy but she would try. Oh, how I love my children. Kellan has never been alone. I am sure he is going to get pretty bored with no one to pick him up or accidentally knock him over. I am looking forward to spending time with my baby before he turns one.

Back from H town

This is going to be the longest blog entry ever but that is what happens when you are in Houston a little over a week. We had so much fun with my sister and her family. They were great host and Kyler and Kole already want to go back. We got to do a lot of fun things, but the best part was getting to spend time with family.

The first day we were in Houston we went to the zoo. The Houston zoo has a little water section. The kids loved it. The were drenched but you need to be in that Houston heat :)!!

Kyler and Kole did plenty of swimming with their cousins.

Kyler is doing great at swimming and Kole is getting much more comfortable with the water. Hopefully that will help when he does swimming lessons next year.

My sister's neighborhood puts on a 4th of July parade with all the neighborhood kids on their bikes. It is so neat! The kids had so much fun decorating their bikes.

4th of July night a big church by my sister's house put on this great event and everything was FREE, you can't beat that. Watermark put on a concert ( I love Watermark!), there were free cokes, snocones, popcorn, funnel cake, and ice cream. The night ended with a great firework show.

On Monday we went to Splashtown. Kyler and Kole loved it. It was a really neat waterpark that Houston has.

9 hours is a long time for three kids under 5, but they did so good! Here are some pictures of the very tired kids in the car.

Kellan @ 11 months!

How do I explain this delight at 11 months? Kellan finally decided to start crawling at 10 months (on June 5, I put that here since I seem to not write things down in his baby book, does Kellan even have a baby book?!?). He is now everywhere and we have found all sorts of things in his mouth. Fun times! Especially since we are living with my sister and she has all tile. Kellan's knees are definitely red ;)!! Kellan loves his baby pool and loves crawling all over the slip and slide. He is basically on complete adult food. He eats really well. He absolutely loves fruit! He takes a sippy cup really well with juice but isn't real interested in his milk in a sippy yet. We will work on that this month. Kellan was a great sleeper for the first 10 months of his life. This last month it feels like he has gotten all of his teeth at once. Just when we think we are done he gets more, causing Kellan to think he should wake up at 5 am. It probably doesn't help that he is sharing a room with us right now and just stands up in his bed and looks at us. Even at 5 am I love this boy so much. He is such a continuous joy and pleasure to raise. We just put Kellan's big boy car seat in the car for our 8 1/2 hour trip to Houston. I know, he's not 1 yet, but he is 21 pounds and very frustrated at laying back in his other one, so I wanted to make the trip more comfortable for him. I am not going to even talk about him turning one. I am so sentimental this time and that only makes time go faster.

Where do the weeks go? I already feel like summer is flying by. It is crazy! I am not even sure what we have done this week, but it has flown by. We floated like crazy last weekend. We floated on Friday afternoon and all day Saturday. People kept looking at as like we were insane, but we didn't think it was that big of deal. It was actually a good crowd year. There were more families and a "calmer" atmosphere. We always seem to crash a few times and we all have a few bruises, but it was lots of fun. On the way home Kristin and I had to hit the outlet mall and spent way too much money and the guys got to see the Incredible Hulk, so everyone was happy.

When we got home on Sunday night, which was pretty late, Kyler and Kole ran out of their rooms with cards they had made Mike for Father's Day. It was so cute! I know three kids that are really lucky to have the dad they do. Mike is so involved with their lives and loves them so much. I am so glad he is the father of my children :)!!!

A busy week . . .

It has been a busy week. The kids have had so much fun. They have got to swim several times and we have had VBS every night. Kole is so happy that his best bud Hunter is back from Taiwan. I am pretty glad his mom is back too :)!!! Mike and I are off on a much needed weekend vacation tomorrow. This is the first time to leave Kellan and all three of the kids without us, so it should be interesting for Granna and Jill. Have a great weekend! I know we will!

Kyler's 1st "Real" Haircut

Today Kyler got her 1st real hair cut. I have trimmed it twice, but barely anything was cut off. Today she got 6 inches cut off. She was growing her hair out for Locks of Love because she wanted to "help the sick kids on TV". Locks of Love is only certain times of year so we couldn't find a hair cut place that would do it here. Her hair grows back really fast so she is going to grow it out again for when it is time. This is also the first time Kyler's hair has been remotely straight. She didn't understand that her curls will come back once she wets it, she was a little hurt. Here is our beautiful little girl, who is getting too big.

Summer is Here and 10 Months has Come too Fast!

The last day of school brought on a busy day. Kyler had McDonalds brought to her school for lunch and then they had sundaes for dessert. After lunch they had a water balloon fight. They had so much fun! Mrs. Coggins got all of her class shirts and all the students signed the shirts. It was so cute. The girls got flower shirts and the boys got car shirts.

Tonight Mike and I took the kids to Legacy Park and we had a picnic. We celebrated the first day of summer with fun at the park and family time together. It was a lot of fun!

Today Kellan turned 1o months. There are no words to explain this child but pure joy! He is the most content child I think I have ever seen. He is so much fun and such a perfect 3rd child. These smiling pictures explain him so well. If he is crying you know he is either hungry or sleepy, and he is so easy to figure out. He has decided this week that he needs to try and be a big boy. He loves lunch meat. Two times this week he has eaten two slices of lunch meat and a slice of cheese for lunch. It is hilarious! He thinks he is much too big for baby food. I would think the older he gets his naps would get shorter, but he is sleeping more now. He sleeps two hours in the morning and usually two hours in the afternoon, if not more. He goes down at 7:30 and usually wakes up between 7:30 and 8. He is so much fun! I had to take him to the Dr yesterday and he now weighs 19 lbs. He is not crawling but loves to stand. He will stand on his own for a short period of time but only scoots backwards, no official crawling yet. He might be my child that walks before he crawls :)!! He has really started liking books a lot this week. He is just mesmerized with the words I am reading. Oh yes, if you can't tell by the first picture he now has almost 4 teeth. Once again, there are no other words for this boy of mine, just precious!!!!

How can it be that my baby graduated from Kindergarten today? I am so emotional over her getting so big. We had the best year possible in Kindergarten. Mrs. Coggins was absolutely wonderful and she was a perfect fit for Kyler and Kyler's mommy :)!!! I cannot believe I have a first grader. Where has the time gone?!? Kyler continues to bless our lives so much, and we are so proud of her for having such a great year.

For graduation all Kyler wanted was to get her nails done. So last night the girls (Kyler, Jill, and I) went to go get pedicures and Kyler got a manicure too. It was hilarious. She looked like such a priss in those big chairs. She did great though, and they put a cute flower on each of her big toes. She also got a new bike because her knees were hitting the handle bars of her old bike. Jill also decorated the house in graduation decor. For all of you who have girls out there it is only $10 to get a little girls toes and nails done. You can't beat that! I love my daughter so much :)!!!!

We went to Midland this past weekend for Mike's granddad's 80th birthday. The kids had so much fun playing with all their cousins, unfortunately I didn't take that many pictures. They had a great time though.

We are officially homeless, ok, not really. We will be living with my sister for the next 6 months while we build our house. It is definitely going to be a bonding experience. Kyler and Kole are sharing a room and Kellan is in our room. Kyler and Kole love it, but are having some problems going to sleep because all they do is giggle. It is fun to see them love each other though. We are so grateful that my sister is housing us, you know that is a large task when three children are involved. Here are a few random pictures of our empty lot, not that anyone cares. The building process is fun, can be stressful, but fun to pick everything out from scratch. We are building on an acre so we are excited that the kids will have lots of room to play. I know all of you are just dying for the day I post foundation pictures - hee hee.

Kyler had "Buddy Day" last Friday at school. Her and her buddy, Vivian, had a field day with their big buddy from 5th grade. Kyler had so much fun. She said soccer or the hula hoop was her favorite. It was so fun to watch her.

Kyler's end of the season soccer party at Chuck E Cheese. The girls were undefeated again. She is on a great team. Mike was the assistant coach this season and Kyler really enjoyed that. She loves soccer and misses it so much over the summer.

Family Picnic and Remembering . . .

Kyler's school had family picnic day today, so me and the boys and granna went up to school and had a picnic lunch with Kyler. It was so much fun! We love Kyler's school. We will miss it so much next year. We have been so blessed with everything this year. Granna came into town yesterday and has helped me so much with packing. I am sort of beginning to see the light at the end of the tunnel. This is our last night at this house. It is bittersweet. We moved into this house exactly five years ago. Kyler was the exact same age as Kellan is now when we moved in. We have had so many great memories in this house and it has been such a blessing to us. We hope that the family that is buying it from us has just as many great blessings. As you can see by the pictures, the kids have been a great help packing :)!!! Kole walks behind me and takes toys out of boxes and out of the trash can, it is quite comical. I am not for sure how productive I am with their assistance but it keeps things fun.

Find a Heart that Loves you at your Worst and Arms that will Hold you at your Weakest . . .

I cannot believe 8 years ago today I became Mrs. Michael Carrasco. Each year only gets better. I know that sounds cliche but it is really the truth. This has been our best year yet and I can't wait for things to only get better with time. Mike is the most awesome husband and father I could have ever asked for. For those of you who see him in action you know what I am saying is true. For those of you who are not fortunate enough to be around him very often, you are really missing out. Mike really needs to run conferences on how to be a great husband and dad. I don't know why God chose me to be blessed by him, but I am eternally grateful. Here are a few of the many reasons I love my husband:

He tells me everyday how much he loves me and how I only grow prettier with time (so we know that this is not true but he makes me believe it)

He loves his children and is completely involved in their lives. He doesn't miss a beat.

He is a hard worker and such an awesome provider for our family.

He is a neat freak, even though this sometimes can be annoying, I am so grateful when I see the things other husbands do. He has never left the toilet seat up. In fact, he wipes down the toilet seat after each use. No, I am not lying.

On that note, he cleans the toilets and bath tubs because he knows I hate to do that.

He reads and prays with Kyler and Kole every night while I have cuddling time with Kellan.

He calls me at least 2x a day, usually more than that, just to check on me.

I am never afraid to tell him anything because I know he will love me no matter what. He has taught me the true definition of unconditional love.

I still get excited to see him at the end of the day. OK, sometimes it is b/c I want to hand the children over, but usually it is because I have missed him all day.

It is such a joy to know that he is mine as long as we are on earth and that God continues to bless our lives.

I can't wait for more memories with him.

Here we are at 22 and 24 on our special day. 3 kids later we are even more in love now than we were then.

Full Speed Ahead

We have been really busy since Thursday. Kole had his programs at Mothers Day Out on Thursday and Friday. Uncle Brian, Mike's best friend, came into town so we got to hang out with some friends we haven't seen in a long time on Friday night. My mom, Jill, and I were able to go see Maid of Honor late Friday night, which was very good. Kyler had her toughest game of the season on Saturday and they won! She scored 5 points. We did lots of packing and moving after the game on Saturday and Mike and I were able to go to a movie Saturday night because granna was here all weekend. It has been a busy couple of days but we are full speed ahead and this will be the last week in our house. We went to Outback after church and it was very yummy! I am so blessed this Mother's Day!

Kellan's Nine Month Check Up and Living without a Microwave

Kellan is going to be tall and skinny like his granna. He is 29 inches long, which is in the 85th percentile, but is 17 lbs 12 oz, which is in the 10th percentile. He looks great and is continuing to amaze us with his sweet personality.

When is the last time you went without a microwave? Well, I can't remember the last time I didn't have a microwave. I think it was in 7th grade. Last weekend we sold our microwave in our garage sale and I have been using the oven all week to heat things up. It is amazing how much time that takes. We eat left overs a lot for lunch and it is hard reheating things without a microwave. It takes 3x the time. I will be very glad to have a microwave again.

Kellan at Nine Months

Nine months?!? Are you kidding me? My baby cannot be growing up this fast. Kellan is loving doing new things. He finally got his first tooth last week, so now we have one (only 100 more to go). Poor guy has just been hurting lately, thanks to his teeth. He is still such a joy. He loves saying hi and waving, and he loves clapping and singing patty cake. He can wear some 18 month clothes. We go Monday to see how big he is. He eats everything and thinks he should be completely on table foods already. Oh, how I love this brown eyed boy!

Last week was an insane week. This is what my schedule looked like:

Monday Night : Student Advisory Council
Tuesday Night: Phi Alpha
Wednesday: 2 house showings
Thursday Night: Taught Class 6-9
Friday: Decorated for Senior Brunch
Saturday: Senior Brunch, Kyler's soccer game, 3 house showings, was only at home about one hour accept to sleep
Sunday: 1 house showing, student appreciation dinner

That being said . . . I am so, so ready for summer and some time to breathe. This is our last week at LCU and then the kids have one more month of school. I am looking forward to packing some things and going through a lot of things both at home and my office, and having spring cleaning.

What's up this week? Hopefully not as much :)

Kyler doesn't have school today because of a weather day. Kyler and Kole are finding all sorts of things to do since she is home. Here they are in one of our hall cabinets.

Kyler's soccer team, the Bumblebees, played in the Kohl's soccer tournament this weekend. Kyler's team is still undefeated. They are doing great this year. Kyler had three games on Saturday and scored 13 points.

Kyler had her State Gymnastics Meet this weekend. She did so good. She got second in the state on the trampoline and floor for her level. She has done so good for this being her first year on team. We are so proud of her! Granna, aunt Amy, and gramps and nana all got to see her compete, so that was extra special.

Kellan is Eight Months!

My little baby is turning into a little boy right before my eyes. This is what Kellan is doing at 8 months:

*He eats so much. He is now eating 3 vegetables, 1 meat, 2 fruits, cereal, and 3-4 bottles all in one day. What is nice is he is basically eating three meals now. He sometimes has an afternoon bottle, but he is pretty much on our schedule, he just eats tons when he does eat.

*It took him forever to finally sit up but he is sitting like a pro now. He even scoots around on his tummy, but probably won't crawl for awhile. Neither of my other two crawled until 9 months. I am not wanting crawling to come. Kole plays with so many tiny toys and we are going to have to watch Kellan constantly when he starts crawling, so I am not rushing him.

*He is the easiest baby ever, which is such a blessing for a third child. Thankfully he hasn't had stranger anxiety yet. I am sure it will come, but he goes to anybody and usually gives them a big smile. I love it!

*He doesn't cry first thing in the morning. He just talks and coos until I come in there and then he gives me a big smile. He is so happy in the morning. He must take after his dad but he makes my mornings better by his smile.

*We put Kellan down at 7:30 wide awake and he goes to sleep on his own. I sometimes miss rocking time but this is the easiest way to go with two other kids. He will usually sleep uninterrupted until around 8:00, unless he is sick.

*He loves his swing that hangs from the door. I don't even think they make these anymore but oh well, we still use ours. He can bounce for hours and just laughs, he looks like a little kangaroo.

*I have walked a couple of times this week and he loves sitting in the stroller, without his car seat, and looking around.

*He has been teething since 3 months, no exaggeration, and has yet to get a tooth. You can just see them wanting to come in, but nothing. Poor guy, he just slobbers up a storm.

*He loves bath time and swimming.

*It kills me to carry him in his car seat now. Those days are pretty much over. I now have to carry him everywhere or put him in an umbrella stroller.

*Some 9 month clothes are too little, he can wear some 12 month clothes. He is the longest of all my children too.

*He still goes to Sunday school with us because he is my last and I want to soak this time up, but in class this morning he let me know it is nursery time, because he is just visiting too much and wants to play. I can't do it . . . .

*He has been a perfect addition to our family and an answer to prayers.

Mike is 32 and Spring Break

Today is Mike's 32nd birthday! We took Mike a cake to work after Kyler got out of school and the kids screamed Happy Birthday when we walked into his office, too funny. Hopefully no one was trying to get any work done :)!! Mike and I were able to go have a nice dinner and movie on Saturday night thanks to Jill babysitting. I am amazed at how I love Mike more and more every year. With every child we have he amazes me even more. He is so wonderful! Life only gets better in your 30's. We are so blessed with the family we have.

We had a great, relaxing Spring Break. Kyler and Kole played so well together and Kellan just watched as they acted crazy! It was so much fun watching them enjoy having siblings.

Weekend Review

The kids had lots of fun at the birthday party. I cannot believe my twin nephews are 10. It just seems like just yesterday they were itty bitty things. Time is going so fast. If you look closely at Kyler's face she has come down with Fifth Disease. We have never experienced this. It is a rash all over her face and limbs, but it doesn't hurt her at all thankfully. It is crazy looking. Kole got it a little too, but not near as bad as Kyler.

On Saturday we met my sister and her family to celebrate my Zane and Garrett's 10th birthdays. We stayed at a hotel and Kellan got to swim for the first time. He loved it!! Kyler is swimming without any help at all now. She loves being in the water.

Kyler had a gymnastics meet in Borger on Saturday so we spent the night in Borger on Friday night. We had great mexican food and Kyler did great. She got 2nd on trampoline, 3rd on double mini, and 4th on floor. Way to go Kyler!

I cannot believe I forgot to post about the most dramatic thing that happened over the weekend. . . . we no longer have a cat. It was such a sad day yesterday. Since we are selling our house we decided it was probably a good idea to get rid of Stormy just because so many people are allergic and we didn't want having a cat to prevent us from selling. Also, we weren't planning on having any animals at this point in our new house so we thought we would go ahead and get rid of him. We went through the humane society so that we wouldn't have to worry about him being put to sleep. They have adoption fairs on the weekends at Petsmart and we were supposed to keep him until a family decided to adopt him and just take him up to Petsmart on the weekends. Well, we took him to Petsmart at 5:00 on Saturday night and he was adopted by 2:00 on Sunday. We never thought he would be adopted so quick. He has been the best cat over the last 6 years and we will miss him so much. I wasn't expecting for him to get adopted so quick so we didn't really get to say good bye. He slept with Kyler so she has been a little upset but she said a family that has more time has him now. It is amazing how much you can get attached to a pet. We love you STORMY!

Today was baby day at church. It was such a blessing to have Kellan, plus 17 other babies, be prayed for by our church family. We are blessed not only by our immediate family, but also our Christian family.

Kyler had her 2nd gymnastics meet on Saturday. She did so good and continues to love competing.

Kellan turned 7 months on Saturday. I continue to be amazed at how fast this is going. I don't know if it is because he is our last, but I just want to pause time because he is growing up so fast. He continues to be such a joy and it is so fun being Kellan's mom.

Friday night several girls went to Abuelo's and a movie for Ashley and Amy's 30th birthdays. It was good to go out with the girls. We decided we needed to do it more often.

Father/Daughter Banquet

Mike and Kyler got to go to the 50's Father/Daughter banquet at church last night. They had so much fun. I am so glad they got to spend some alone time together. Poor Kyler doesn't get that very much so I think it was good for her.

Strepped Out!

Monday Kellan and I went to the Dr and we both have strep. I haven't been this sick in a long time. I have been averaging 102 temp and cannot sleep or function very well. Thankfully Kellan has been in a pretty good mood and it hasn't effected him very much.

Yesterday Kole came home from Mother's Day Out with a 102 fever and he is now on antibiotics too. Right now 3 out of the 5 in this family are sick and Mike and Kyler will probably have it before weeks end. Mike has been great. He took off work today to entertain the boys because I just don't have the energy. I am feeling much better today after much sleep and relaxation. I know I always brag on Mike but he is the best husband and dad ever. I can't imagine times like these without his help.

We have also had a great friend who has taken Kyler to school so that we don't have to get out and that has been so helpful. I am so thankful for a great support system it makes times like this so much easier. Everyone wash your hands and stay inside as much as you can :)!!!

Happy Valentine's Day 2008

We have had a great Valentine's day. All the kids had fun Valentine's parties at school. Mike brought me lunch (Abuelos) and flowers at work today and he got me a gift card to a spa here in town. He spoiled me. He also got Kyler flowers and Kole accesories to his potato head, which by the way Kole will not separate with these days, random.

Kyler's class had the cutest Valentines party today. I am so glad I got to be there. Last week the parents got an invitation and this is what it said:

We are pleased to announce the union of two very special letters . . . Q & U. These two important letters (who can't go anywhere without each other!) will be getting married on Valentine's Day and our class is going to celebrate. The wedding will take place Thursday, February 14 at 2:00 pm in the cafeteria. You are cordially invited to attend this joyous event, followed by a Valentine reception in Mrs. Coggins' room. The reception will include cake and a class Valentine exchange.

All the girls were asked to wear dresses and the boys wore white shirts. The girls made vails and the boys made bow ties. It was so cute. Here is a picture of Kyler's class with Q and U.
